North Hill in Needham, MA Appoints New CEO

The Board of Trustees of North Hill Communities, Inc. announce the appointment of Robert M. Fallon as President and Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Fallon was selected following a national search to replace previous CEO Kevin Burke who departed in June of this year. Mr. Fallon comes to North Hill from his post as executive director at Newbury Court Independent Living, a Deaconess Abundant Life Community in Concord, MA. He will oversee all aspects of North Hill’s $34m annual budget and operations of its three related services: Independent Living, Enhanced Living and Skilled Nursing Care, all situated within its 60-acre site.

“Rob has the background, knowledge and temperament to lead North Hill in fulfilling our mission to provide high quality senior housing and an enriched lifestyle for seniors as they move through the continuum of care,” said Ted Owens, Chairman of the Board of Trustees and Interim CEO. “His commitment to our values of excellence, caring and respect are evident in the professional choices he’s made over 35 years in this industry. Rob combines an in-depth understanding of the practical and financial issues of the senior living industry with steadfast attention to the very human endeavor of sustaining community. We are very pleased to have him lead us in continued innovation and growth.”

Mr. Fallon’s appointment to North Hill comes after the organization has completed a highly successful five-year repositioning called Project True North. A state-of-the-art fitness center, an art gallery with changing exhibits, along with courses and lectures in history, science, culture and topics of the day are all part of the healthy aging philosophy that embodies life at North Hill. Dining options at North Hill now include a five-star fine dining restaurant where meals are prepared from scratch each day, a casual dining room featuring gourmet comfort classics, a café that has been featured on WCVB TV’s Chronicle, and an in-house bakery with its own pastry chef.

The organization continues to expand its services with Connected for Life, a membership program that provides financial asset protection while offering concierge coordination of Life Care services at home.

“North Hill’s thoughtful, personal approach to senior living and health care is inspiring,” says Fallon. “I’m looking forward to contributing to its culture of inclusiveness in community and its unfaltering adherence to the highest standards of care.
